В собрании Амурского областного краеведческого музея имени Г.С. Новикова-Даурского находится более 50 картин советского периода (1960–1980-х годов), посвящённых теме коренных народов Севера. Художники Дальнего Востока ставили перед собой амбициозную задачу. С одной стороны, они стремились творчески осмыслить обновлённый образ Родины, изменившейся в результате социально-экономических и культурных преобразований, с другой – старались уловить уникальные колорит и фактуру местной природы. Так, в картинах В. Стогния, В Сурикова звучит гимн вечным горам и ослепительно белым снегам, на полотнах В. Семенихина, Я. Севастьянова, В. Маклакова запечатлены жители этого сурового края, хранители традиций и заветов предков. Работали над темой Севера и художники РОСИЗО. Результатом размышлений стали картины Н. Чувахина, К. Коваля, Н. Валейской, в которых осмыслено сложное взаимодействие человека и окружающей среды, суровой и подчас опасной для жизни.

The World of the Indigenous Peoples of the Russian Far East in Paintings of Amur Artists

The collection of the G.S. Novikov-Daursky Amur Regional Local Lore Museum contains over 50 paintings from the Soviet period (1960s–1980s) devoted to the theme of indigenous peoples of the North. The artists of the Russian Far East set before themselves an ambitious task: on the one hand, they attempted to create and comprehend a renewed image of the country that had been transformed as a result of socio-economic and cultural changes and, on the other, to grasp the unique coloring and texture of local nature. Thus, the paintings of V. Stogni and V. Surikov are a hymn to the eternal mountains and dazzling white snow and the works of V. Semenikhin, Y. Sevastyanov and V. Maklakov depict the inhabitants of this severe land, the keepers of traditions and the legacy of ancestors. Artists from ROSIZO also worked on the theme of the North. These reflections are presented in the paintings by N. Chuvakhin, K. Koval and N. Valeiskaya that dwell on the complex interaction between man and the environment, one that is harsh and at times quite hazardous.
