«Святая Троица» – воплощение красоты и духовности

Святая Троица – основополагающий образ для русского национального сознания. Осмысленный Сергием Радонежским как воплощение всеобъемлющей Любви и Единства, он сплотил общей идеей многие поколения россиян. В первой трети XV века для Троице-Сергиевой Лавры Андреем Рублевым была создана икона «Святая Троица», принятая Стоглавым собором 1551 года за эталон иконографии. В ХХ столетии, расчищенный реставраторами от слоёв поздних записей и помещённый в общедоступное музейное пространство, шедевр древнерусской живописи открылся миру. Над сохранением реликвии работали известные учёные, потомственные иконописцы, исследователи и искусствоведы. Основанием для публикации послужили размышления авторов о значимости «Троицы» – уникального памятника культуры и одновременно православной святыни, переданной в 2023 году из Третьяковской галереи (где она «прожила» почти век) Русской Православной Церкви.

The Holy Trinity – Embodiment of Beauty and Spirituality

The Holy Trinity is an essential image of the Russian national consciousness. Having been comprehended by Sergius of Radonezh as an embodiment of All- Embracing Love and Unity, the common idea of this icon has brought together many generations of Russians. The Holy Trinity icon created by Andrei Rublev for the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius was appointed in 1551 by the Stoglavy Sobor as a model example. In the 20th century, this masterpiece of Old Russian art, after being cleaned by restorers from layers of paint and placed in a museum environment accessible to the public was presented to the world. Many prominent scientists, artists coming from a long line of icon painters, researchers and art historians worked to preserve this relic. This article is based on the authors’ reflections on the significance of Trinity – a unique cultural monument and Orthodox object of worship that was transferred in 2023 from the Tretyakov Gallery, where it had spent almost a century, to the Russian Orthodox Church.
