Редакция поздравляет З.К. Церетели
Редакция журнала «Русское искусство» поздравляет с 90-летием Зураба Константиновича Церетели. Народный художник СССР, всегда рассматривающий личное творчество как приоритетное, не представим без другой важнейшей ипостаси своей деятельной натуры – ответственнейшей административной работы. Более четверти века, с 1997 года, Зураб Церетели является президентом Российской академии художеств, заняв этот пост в сложную, переходную для страны эпоху – из XX века в век XIX. Как-то Зураб Константинович, отвечая на вопрос о его отношении к критике, сказал: «Если правильно критикуют – приятно. Неправильно критикуют – тоже приятно: это реклама». «Русское искусство» пишет о юбиляре только хорошо (и делало это неоднократно!), потому что всегда вдохновляется встречей с мощными, выразительными образами, воплощающими оптимистичное и очень красочное восприятие жизни.

Congratulations from the Editorial Board
The editorial board of the Russian Art Magazine congratulates Zurab Tsereteli on his 90th birthday. The People’s Artist of the USSR, who has always viewed his personal creative career as a priority, is difficult to imagine without another key field of his energetic personality – the super responsible field of administrative work. For over a quarter of a century, since 1997, Zurab Tsereteli is the president of the Russian Academy of Arts having been appointed during the complex period of transition from the 20th to the 21st century. When asked in an interview about his attitude to criticism, he answered: “If I am criticized correctly – it’s nice, if not – it’s also nice, because that is anadvertisement.” The Russian Art Magazine has always written well about the artist (and has done that on many occasions!) being inspired by a meeting with vibrant, expressive images demonstrating Tereteli’s optimistic and very colorful perception of life.
