Личные вещи Павла и Сергея Третьяковых

Продолжая знакомство с открывшимся в январе 2022 года Музеем Павла и Сергея Третьяковых, редакция предлагает вниманию читателя статью о мемориальных предметах, размещенных в экспозиционном пространстве. С шедеврами одного из крупнейших собраний русского искусства сейчас знаком каждый, а жизнь московских меценатов и история формирования их коллекций для широкой публики все еще оставались малоизвестными. Заполнить лакуны позволили воссоздание обстановки кабинетов братьев Третьяковых и обширная мультимедийная программа, погружающая в культурную среду России второй половины XIX – начала XX века и историю как благотворительной, так и предпринимательской сферы. Личные вещи Павла и Сергея Третьяковых дают более полное представление об особенностях характеров и семейных ценностях каждого из них.

Personal Belongings of Pavel and Sergey Tretyakov

Following up upon the Pavel and Sergey Tretyakov Museum opened in January 2022, the editorial board offers the reader an article about the memorial items displayed there. While the masterpieces from one of the largest collections of Russian art are known to everyone, the lives of Moscow art patrons and the history of the formation of their collections still remain little-known to the broad public. These gaps are filled by a reconstruction of the interiors of the studies of the Tretyakov brothers and a vast multimedia program that immerses the guests into the cultural environment of Russia during the second half of the 19th – early 20th century and the history of both the philanthropic and business spheres of that time. The displayed
personal belongings of Pavel and Sergey Tretyakov provide a better understanding of the personal traits and family values of each of them.
