Судьба Куликовской битвы, по мнению автора публикации, во многом зависела от незримого вмешательства княгини Евдокии, жены Дмитрия Донского. Жизнь Евдокии полна чудес: как иначе объяснить, что она предсказала удачный поход воеводы Боброк-Волынского в Булгарию, поражение князя Дмитрия у речки Пьяны, провидела день, когда произойдёт «великая битва»? Проводив мужа из Кремля, княгиня повелела открыть для непрестанной молитвы все московские храмы Рождества Богородицы. Оберегая мужа во время битвы, Евдокия духовно соприсутствовала на Куликовом поле, физически при этом находясь в столице. Если князь Дмитрий руководил войском, то княгиня Евдокия молилась, готовилась к триумфальному возвращению мужа, организовывала госпитали для раненых. Цельность её личности, провидческий дар и женская кротость помогли князю одержать победу.

Evdokia of Moscow. The Spurs of the Kulikovo Field

According to the author of this article, the outcome of the Kulikovo Battle depended largely on the hidden interference of Grand Duchess Evdokia, whose life was full of wonders: how else can weexplain her predictions of the successful military campaign of Moscow governor Bobrok-Volynsky against Volga Bulgaria; the defeat of Duke Dmitry at the Pyana River; and of the date of the “great battle”? After her husband had left Kremlin, she ordered all Moscow churches of the Nativity of the Mother of God to be opened for constant praying. Safeguarding her husband during the battle, Evdokia was spiritually present there, while physically staying in Moscow. While Dmitry was leading the army, Evdokia was praying, preparing for the triumphal return of her husband and organizing hospitals for the wounded. Her personal integrity, prophetic gift and womanly graciousness helped the duke win the battle.
